It’s so fun to whip up some fun gifts in the kitchen! Lassen’s carries all of the ingredients for these wonderful Salt and Sugar Scrubs, including jars and bottles. Or you can reuse containers like I did with these Talenti Gelato jars! And they are immediately ready to give, so you can throw some of these together at the last minute if necessary!
Rose Vanilla Salt Scrub
1 cup fine sea salt
1/2 cup sweet almond oil
1/4 cup organic raw honey
1 organic vanilla bean, split and the pulp scraped (use the pulp)
1/2 tsp rose essential oil
crushed dried rose petals
Mix all of the ingredients together and place in a decorative jar.
Lemon Sugar Scrub
1 1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup almond oil
1/2 tsp lemon essential oil
the zest of 2 lemons
Mix all of the ingredients together and place in a decorative jar.
Pumpkin Brown Sugar Body Scrub
1 cup pureed pumpkin
1 cup brown sugar
1 TBSP extra virgin olive oil
2 TBSP honey
1/4 tsp cloves
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
Mix all of the ingredients and place in a decorative jar. This scrub needs to be refrigerated if not used within a few days.
Coconut Vanilla Body Scrub
1 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract, or 1 vanilla bean, split and scraped (use the scraped inside part)
1/3 cup Dead Sea Mineral bath salt
1/2 cup extra virgin coconut oil
Blend everything together and then put in a decorative jar. This one is really moisturizing!
Your friends will love using these scrubs!
Love, Lassen’s

Hi. I’m going to make some today but I was wondering how to package correctly for shipping if people do not live near you? Thanks
Interesting question! I think that the main thing to to make sure it doesn’t leek. Glass (with a tight fitting lid) is a good option, but breakage may occur. I recycled plastic gelato containers with tight screw-on lids. As long as you package with lots of bubble-wrap, you’ll be fine. You may want to enclose the container in a reclosable bag so that if there is leakage or breakage it will be contained. Good luck!
Hi, I’m new to this stuff but wanted to see if these need refrigerating and how long do they last if not refrigerated. Thanks!
Besides the pumpkin, all of them will last for a up to a year. The pumpkin one I would use within 4-6 weeks.
Hope that helps! Enjoy your DIYing 🙂
